The Olive Tree Terrace at Tulbagh Hotel
TripAdvisor agrees that The Olive Terrace offers the finest cuisine in Tulbagh and never fails to delight. The mid-size menu offers a tantalizing range of starters, mains, pizza and deserts that are always beautifully presented and delicious. Diners can choose between the large tree shaded outside terraces in Summer or the warm of a fire inside the main building.
Readers Restaurant is an institution in Tulbagh, and on balmy Summer nights there is nowhere else you would want to be than on Readers’ small veranda enjoying a glass of wine, watching the passers by strolling in the street. Housed in the oldest building in Tulbagh’s Church Street, and offering good local and international cuisine with an African twist. Carol’s quirky Restaurant menu changes seasonally according to what is freshest and in season. Her ostrich with Amarula berry sauce followed by a medley of homemade ice creams is a must.
Things I love Restaurant and Deli
Tulbagh’s upmarket daytime deli, bakery and restaurant is situated in a beautifully renovated Victorian complex with lovely spaces and attention to detail. Lunches on the restaurant’s terrace in summer are a hit, as too are winter coffees by the restaurant’s fire.
